Services Offered, Fees, and Scheduling
Individual and couples sessions are offered by telehealth for now. Appointments are available Mondays through Thursday between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. My practice is fee-for-service. If you would like to use your insurance, I can provide you with a bill to submit for reimbursement from your insurer.
INTAKE SESSION | 70 Minutes / $235
This is the first appointment we will schedule and it’s the time when we explore what brings you to counseling. I’ll ask you to complete a questionnaire prior to our first meeting. When we meet I’ll follow up with more specific questions, including more about what brings you to counseling and what you hope to achieve. We will set goals together and talk about how we will track your growth. This session is somewhat structured because it is important for me to get as complete a picture as I can before we begin our work together. We will cover the crucial topic of confidentiality and the limits of confidentiality that govern our relationship and your personal information.
INDIVIDUAL | 45 Minutes / $150
In individual sessions we will be focused on you and your relationships. The work we do together will be designed to help you resolve inner issues, conflicts, overwhelming feelings, old patterns, et cetera. Progress in individual therapy will affect your relationships and you.
COUPLES | 45 Minutes / $150
In couples work, typically both partners are present. The relationship dynamic becomes center stage and we work actively in the session with communication and perception. Having a partner’s perspective and support can be incredibly helpful when doing personal work.
Confidentiality
All of our communication becomes part of our clinical record, which is accessible to you upon request. My files are kept electronically. My electronic systems meet the highest security recommendations defined by HIPAA.
I will keep confidential anything you say as part of our counseling relationship, with the following exceptions: (a) you direct me in writing to disclose information to someone else, (b) it is determined you are a danger to yourself or others (including child or elder abuse), or (c) I am ordered by a court to disclose information.
